Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, has invested in a new blockchain venture in Malta, which will cater for solutions in the renewable energy sector. EFFORCE will focus on energy efficiency using blockchain-based solutions for the environment. Wozniak partnered up with Jacopo Visetti, an experienced individual in this specific field.
EFFORCE aims to provide a blockchain-based platform focused on investing in energy efficiency, with the main goal of becoming a recognized company that offers the first and main platform in the world for tokenized energy savings. During the Delta Summit, Wozniak commented on the announcement saying that efficiency had always been an important subject for him, which is why offering a platform that could offer incentives for people to save money on energy while also being good for the environment was the perfect move.
Blockchain will improve the way we use energy and lower energy consumption without changing our habits…. EFFORCE is a unique business model and we can have a great impact on the entrepreneurship.
Furthermore, Wozniak continued on explaining the reasoning behind choosing Malta for this venture was based on the government’s willingness to continuously invest in blockchain development.
Last year, it was also reported that Wozniak as beginning to work alongside Equii Capital, a venture capital company co-founded by British lingerie entrepreneur Baroness Michelle Mone.
