Crypto Exchange Kraken Says it will probably register with SEC. The announcement made via Bloomberg, quoted the Chief Executive Officer, Jesse Powell, as saying, that the exchange was probably going to register as a Broker Dealer and then as an Alternative Trading System, which would meet the definition of “exchange” under federal securities law. He also remarked that they wouldn’t be required to register as a national securities exchange, if the ATS operates under the exemption provided by the Exchange Act Rule.
