The NFT magic is slowly taking over the world, and this time it is Disney. The multinational entertainment and media company is all set to launch a series of digital collectibles featuring beloved characters and items from the most treasured stories. Titled ‘Golden Moments’, the collection is inspired by iconic launches from Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars among others.
The NFTs will go live on Nov 12, the day the company celebrates Disney+ Day. It has a lot of amazing new fan experiences in store as a token of gratitude to subscribers. Amid the NFT and crypto rage, it doesn’t come as a surprise that digital collectibles have made it to the list along with content releases across the service’s iconic brands.
The drop is in collaboration with VeVe, a platform that supports 100% carbon-neutral, licensed premium NFTs. It hosts limited edition comics and interactive digital sculptures of popular heroes and icons in digital format. This is not the first time the platform has featured entertainment legends. VeVe’s digital comics line-up includes popular characters like Spider-Man, Harley Quinn, Fantastic Four, and X-Men.

More details about the Disney+ Day drop are expected to be announced in the coming days. Customers from select markets who purchase an NFT from the Golden Moments collection will also be granted a three/twelve month Disney+ subscription.
